An innovation lab for the future of evangelism in North America.
The world is changing.
Evangelism needs new models.
The Evangelism Lab is a new initiative from Palau and Missional Labs, to discover and develop innovative evangelism models tackling the biggest frontiers of Gospel witness in North America.
Current Ministries & Models
Evangelism needs new models. Most ministries are built for a world that has changed. Traditional institutions are in flux and the stakes are high.
Lab
New Frontiers & Opportunities
The Evangelism Lab fills that gap, giving leaders a structured space to explore new approaches, accelerate what's next, and catalyze ministries that reach the next generation.
How it works:
The lab is a structured, outcome-oriented cohort environment for emerging leaders & projects shaping what’s next for evangelism in North America.
01 Discover Projects. We find and select innovative leaders who have a real idea, prototype, or ministry with clear potential, wherever they are found.
02 Shape the Model. Through mentoring and design sessions, we refine their vision, ministry design, and foundations for growth and impact.
Building what’s next.
03 Launch and Scale. Leaders are connected to key partners and funders, develop a clear pitch story, build a peer community, and receive a micro grant.
Lab Mentors & Advisors
The lab is supported by a wide ranging network of evangelism ministry leaders, practitioners, and funders.
Upcoming Cycle

Lab FAQs
-
Practitioners, founders, and catalytic leaders with an innovative approach to evangelism — anywhere from a big idea to early venture. You don't need a fully built organization, just a compelling vision and the drive to develop it.
-
The intentional communication of the Gospel that invites a response to Jesus. We are open to pre-evangelistic approaches with a clear thesis, but are generally designed for projects where faith presentation is core to the work.
-
We're focused on new models addressing key frontiers like:
Reaching Gen Z and Gen Alpha
Digital tools, new media, and storytelling
Everyday relationships and hospitality
Apologetics and cultural conversations
Equipping local churches for evangelism
Developing young evangelists
Think creative prototypes, not traditional programs.
-
We evaluate applications based on five pillars:
Clear Thesis: A specific, well-reasoned "why" behind your approach.
Early Stage: From working concept to early venture, i.e. you're past the napkin sketch but still early.
Important Context: Addressing a strategic or underserved frontier in North America.
Unique Model: A genuinely new approach, not an incremental improvement.
Potential to Scale: A model that can grow or be replicated for wider impact.
-
We help you sharpen and scale what you're building. Through mentoring and design sessions, you'll refine your ministry model and core pitch, culminating in strategic partner connections and seed funding to advance your work.
-
April–October 2026. Includes two 3-day intensives (Portland and D.C.) and bi-weekly virtual sessions. It is designed to be rigorous but compatible with existing ministry.
-
The Lab is supported by partner organizations. Costs for the in-person gatherings are covered (excluding travel), and every venture receives a small seed grant at the end of the cohort to support their project.
-
This is hosted as a joint initiative of Palau and Missional Labs, but is powered by a network of leading evangelism organizations, leaders, practitioners, and funders, to be a resource for the wider Church.
